​St Charles is more than a school; it is a family. The school mission statement calls us all to “Let all you do be done in love’’ and we strive to do this by living out the Gospel Values in all aspects of school life.

I am privileged and extremely proud to be the Head teacher at a school where there is a cohesive and strong team of governors, staff, children and families who work together in partnership to meet the challenges and provide opportunities to prepare our children for further education and beyond.
We have developed an ambitious and well sequenced curriculum and staff have high expectations of all children, in particular those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and the most disadvantaged. We plan regular opportunities to develop children beyond the academic curriculum, providing opportunities to have additional responsibilities in school and experiences to broaden horizons and aspirations.
St Charles serves the families living and worshipping in the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, Ashby. We have an excellent relationship with our parish and our children will expect to visit our church and see our priest on a regular basis.
St Charles is now part of the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, (CMAT)- a network of 23 Catholic schools across Leicestershire. More information can be found at https://www.aquinas-cmat.org/
